Pretty thorough review. I have had the opportunity to play since my summer roommates have the game and it is a solid game.
It's disappointing to hear that the battle mode isn't all that great - I haven't had a chance to play that yet with them, but battle was always my favorite part of the games :( Oh well, guess I'll just have to get my competition on the tracks.
